Final Cumberland Equipment List & Weights

I’ve completed my inventory of “stuff” I’m taking and weighing all the gear. Once again, I’m not an ultralight hiker but I do consider myself lighter than many of my contemporaries. That being said, here is the supplemental list. Certain items are genericized for the sake of brevity, while others are detailed elsewhere (other articles).

This list is not included water, although I am carrying sufficient containers to allow for 5 liters and I have included a water filtration system. I will review the local conditions and consult the rangers before deciding how much water I will be carrying in but I suspect it will be between 3-4 liters (96 to 128 ounces) depending on filtration sites and distances to my stops.
