The Short of It

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (Film): While Depp’s delivery and physical action was dead on, the movie, over all was a disappointment.

Gonzo: The Life and Works of Hunter S. Thompson (Film): Much better than the above.  I was quite impressed with the figures from his life they managed to get hold of (including Jimmy Carter).

Les Miserables (Novel): I enjoyed the novel immensely. At the risk of bringing down the wrath of my musically inclined friends, I believe I enjoyed the novel even more than the musical.

Fall Cleaning & Purging: Taking the fire ax to sentimental materialism again.  By month’s end I hope to have met my goal.
