A Celtic Christmas at Benaroya Hall

Last night I got to enjoy the music and storytelling of violinist Natalie MacMaster and her fellow musicians at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall.  They are quite a diverse group and certainly not limited by the genre “Celtic”.   Thanks for the ticket hookup, sis.

Benaroya is a beautiful venue both inside and out.  I hope to return for other shows in the future.

In other news, its still rather cold in Seattle, to the point where locals are commenting how remarkable it is for this area.  I’m keeping quiet lest they blame the coldsnap on the “outsider” and a torch & pitchfork scene ensues (why me? why always me?).

Nope — this is definitely unusual for this time of year. Usually it’s between 30 and 50 in Seattle around now, and of course here, it’s usually around 30. Not 7. Or, like last night, 3.

*waves from Boise* Are you in Seattle full-time now?

Yep, I’m here full time now and acclimating culturally (as well as environmentally). Are you visiting Boise or out for the holidays?
