I’ve made a fair amount of (passable) bread by hand but I decided to “cheat” when I came across a “rescue” bread machine for $15.  I just finished making my first loaf of bread using a French bread recipe.  While not a photogenic loaf, the flavor is perfect!  I set the crust for medium, which was probably a bit much but its still quite tasty, with good texture.

When attempting more presentable pieces, I may just use the machine more in the capacity as a mixer.

Focaccia comes to mind, after today’s encounter with those large, semi-wild rosemary “bushes” while out walking.
