Thoroughly awful. If The Stranger is the iconic Existentialist novel, one would come to the unavoidable conclusion that Existentialism is merely a flimsy pretense for manic-depressives and sociopaths to avoid medication and treatment. The only good thing that came out of this novel was the inspiration to The Cure song.
