As individual stories and experiences, it’s entertaining, but Ennis really fails to make a larger story and instead relies on his overused stock of shock imagery and scenarios. In the end the story just sort of… ends, running out of fuel, closure or greater meaning. Oh sure, he tosses us a bone of “look at the dark side of humanity” in the end but its rather cliche.
