Soundly disappointing sequel to Sun of Suns. It was one of those sequels where the author takes a single character from the first book and thrusts them into a new(er) setting, ostensibly to explore and develop them as a character. Unfortunately, in this case the character and the story chosen are utterly forgettable compared to the first book in the series. Still, I soldiered on and finished simply to learn more about the world of Virga. Here’s hoping the next book in the series turns around.
