An excellent examination of the man, the era and the issues, The Battle for the Arab World does an excellent job of peeling back the legend and myth to expose the troubled man and historical events that would lay down the coming century of Western and Middle Eastern relations to this day.

Although, I love the epic movie, Lawrence of Arabia, I was grateful that the documentary chose make very sparing use of clips and instead focus on historical images & film, interviews with experts & survivors and original recreations.
