Carolina the Cursed

I restate my premise that the Carolinas linger under some sort of driving curse. Not 500 yards into SC there is the husk of an eighteen wheeler which appears to have rolled over on a clear, unobstructed stretch of road and burned to a barely identifiable mass. This is par for the course on every single trip I have ever made these states.

I know exactly what you’re talking about, every time I go into South Carolina, I see a horrible car wreck. The worst wreck I’d ever seen was there, an 18-wheeler essentially disintegrated, the parts were everywhere.

Precisely! The only thing I can guess is that maybe truckers in this area have particularly long and/or demanding routes and are thus prone to more accidents?

Alternatively, perhaps the NC/SC highway system is built on ancient Indian burial grounds?
