Not sure why, but the storm we had this afternoon hit my patio particularly hard. The plants took a bit of a battering, but I’m hoping they’ll bounce back. The one exception is the Squash plant which presented two more blossoms (for a total of three) in response to the pummeling.
On an unrelated note, I saw a hawk being mobbed on top of a pine tree a couple blocks away while inspecting my patio. My camera has a built in zoom, but I’m afraid at this extreme distance, the shots won’t come out particularly clear without a dedicated zoom lens. I’ve posted them after the cut if you’re interested. I can’t guess what sort he/she was, but with that characteristic beak its hard to miss raptors.
