Making Tiny Worlds With Google Street View Hack

Tiny World, Space Needle, Seattle, WA

These images that take a panorama or near panorama and wrap them around a sphere to create “tiny worlds” are pretty common, but recently stumbled across a nice Google Streetview hack on Github that allows you to wrap a location to make your own custom tiny worlds. While the photo quality and content varies depending on what the Google mobiles captured, you can get some nice results just by messing around and dragging the place marker to your desired spot and fiddling with the drag-gable the perspective.

Introverts can invert the “Above” and “Below” settings to create alternative views (tiny tunnels?).
